If you’ve been following these blogs, or myself and Mark Darrah on Twitter, you know we’re also working on some secret Dragon Age stuff. Dragon Age is an incredibly important franchise in our studio, and we’re excited to continue its legacy. Look for more on this in the coming month (though I won’t tell you where to look…)
The lone wanderer, searching the world. What’s he trying to find? Love? Absolution?
[…] Rainier was a young braggart who possessed a swagger that spoke more about his true self than his words, which were consistently empty. They remember him wielding a great two-handed sword, which he swung in loose, undisciplined arcs—the chaotic strength of youth unmitigated by wisdom. “Too much sword for so small a boy” was the phrase whispered into the stands.
Blackwall: Cole, if you knew what I am, what I’d done, why didn’t you tell the others?
Cole: Everyone hides dead things. Everyone pretends. You wanted to fix it.
Blackwall: I’m a murderer.
Cole: You don’t want to be. You made a new you. You are Blackwall. You killed Rainier.
Blackwall: If only that were possible.
Cole: You would stand between Rainier and the carriage. But you can’t. It doesn’t work like that. So you carry the bodies to remember.
Blackwall: I suppose I do.
I lied about who I was. But I never lied about what I felt. No matter what I was or what becomes of me…right now I’m just a man with his heart laid bare. I leave it in your hands.
I cannot get enough of you.
I still love Thom, and I forgive him and will give him the chance for atonement that he has earned and deserves. And all the while I will love the man he has become, and watch him heal and grow until he can see the good man that I have seen within him all along.
Why do you enchant me so?
Kiss me up against the wall.
