DA:I – The War Table

Of all the props I got to design for Inquisition, my favorite is the War Table. We knew that we’d be coming back to the table time and time again, so I tried to treat it like a character design and give it some history. I thought that perhaps the War Table was made from a tree that once served as a symbol for peace. It was then cut down and slabbed, polished from centuries of use. The lofty branches that once shaded diplomatic talks were desecrated, inverted to illuminate machinations of conflict.

Carving lesson

Lady Trevelyan is in a position of power throughout the entire game,
including the romance. So I like the idea that roles could be
occasionally reversed and the fact that he teaches her carving,
classical sword fighting or anything else. And I love even better the idea
that he could make her lose control in these situations.

I had a chance to get a nsfw commission from

the wonderful and talented @uriellactaea : thank you so much for capturing my canon couple Eniv and Thom Rainier during one of their
intimate moments !
I am stunned by their expressions particularly, this is better than I expected 🙂 Your art is absolutely gorgeous.

Thank you again 🙂

Vivienne:  Well, you two seem to make each other happy.
Blackwall:  And? Surely, you’re not ending this on a complimentary note.
Vivienne:  I was just wondering how you imagined your future. The Inquisitor and the … well, whatever you are now …
Blackwall:
Ah, I see. You think we’re a poor match. Lady Vivienne, that woman
there will stand with Thedas’ mightiest because of who she is. She may
choose whomever she pleases, even an undeserving nobody. Envy her for
her ability to love freely, but recognize that envy is what it is.
